WATER

Ponderosa Community Services District provides commercial and domestic water service to all improved properties within the Ponderosa subdivision.

 
Note – Within the Ponderosa CSD, a property is considered improved upon the connection of water service, whether or not building has occurred.
New Service
Contact us regarding new water service and complete an application.
 
Meters
At this time, not all properties are metered.
New connections receive a meter at the time of connection.
All new construction will receive a one inch meter to accommodate fire suppression sprinkler systems.
Existing connections receive a 3/4 inch meter and are installed at the discretion of the board.
 
Fees for Service
Properties with water meters pay an annual tiered rate based on usage.
Properties without meters pay an annual flat rate equal to the base tier.
 
 
Billing
We bill water service fees annually through the
property owner’s Tulare County property tax bill.
 
Water Source
Water for the Ponderosa subdivision is obtained from 4 (four) wells.
No surface water is used in the Ponderosa water system.
 
Water Quality
We conduct regular bacterial testing on a monthly basis.
We conduct other testing as required by the State Water Resources Control Board.
Testing results are available in the annual Consumer Confidence Report.
 
 
SNOW REMOVAL
Ponderosa Community Services District provides snow removal services on all roadways within the Ponderosa subdivision.
 
Note - Ponderosa CSD is not responsible for clearing snow from private properties
Services
Ponderosa CSD no longer contracts for all snow removal services (as of June 10, 2021). 
-- Ponderosa CSD clears snow from all roads within the Ponderosa subdivision.
-- Fire hydrants are cleared of snow by a separately contracted individual.
--Snow is not removed from private driveways. Property owners are responsible
   ensuring their vehicles are not parked on subdivision roadways during snow season.
 
Fees for Service
-- We assess all properties annual snow removal fees.
-- Unimproved properties pay a lower rate than improved properties.

Billing
We bill snow removal service fees annually through the
property owner’s Tulare County property tax bill.
 
Parking Ordinance
It is imperative that the roadways remain clear of vehicles so
snow removal equipment may operate effectively and safely.
 
The Parking Ordinance is in effect from Nov 1 to May 1.
